Farmall Super A

I just purchased a 1952 Super A industrial, I think. Model # FAA-1 Serial # 331723.
The tractor was originaly in the Illinois state highway fleet, it still has the state ID plates on the sickle mower and the tractor frame. The tractor was yellow but has been painted over with red paint ( terrible paint job ).
My question is:
Did the tractor come from the factory yellow or did the state have it painted yellow after they took delivery.

Thank You, I guess it will be restored in yellow paint, It sure would look pretty Bright red!
