Truthfully the best way to get ride of ground hogs is to trap them if they are around buildings. A live animal trap baited with melon and lettuce works good. In the open fields I usually just watch at dusk and shoot them with my 22-250.

As to the other stuff. You guys going crazy with the stuff is going to get all of that stuff pulled from the market. Do you think an open forum is the place to talk about using stuff????

I'd much prefer to trap or shoot them...or pay the neighbor kid to do so and give him an opportunity to learn something and get his face outta the video games!

12 year old post. All the perpetrators are out of jail and have been reformed. The new method is to pipe in rap music forcing the critters to commit suicide.

How is the fly supposed to get to the trap if he can't get to his hole?

I used fly bait and coke about 10 years ago - the coon were eating a couple rows of corn next to the woods. The first year it work great, the coon would make it about 10 feet and then drop dead. The following year and a new jar of fly bait, it no longer worked. I was told that Indiana had removed the ingredient that was so deadly to small animals. I purchased another jar of fly bait in Michigan however, that did not work either. I still have some fly bait. around here somewhere.
