Gas seperator

This is a 2 litre pop bottle of gas from my tank. My tank gets drained every time it gets filled. I lift the back up to empty every time. When you shake it up it looks milky white. Test says it’s not water.

I want to do some testing of different fuel stabilizer in multi different containers. I think it might be ethanol sepertated from gas
? Going to be interesting if I can figure it out.

I’ve had gas eat drinking cups I used to clean parts before knowing it would do that

No not fuel rated but it was separated before it went in the bottle. I have used a coke bottle for years for holding my parts wash gas and it never eats the bottle.
Not the greatest parts wash liquid but I use what I have.

Ethanol will settle on the bottom.

If you want to separate gasoline from ethanol. Take a 5 gallon wine carboy (any clear jug will do). Pour in one quart of water. Fill the jug with gasoline. Shake the dickens out of it until it turns murky. Let it sit. The water will attach itself to the ethanol and settle on the bottom. Ethanol free gas will float on top.

They use to sell kits for separating ethanol from gas. That was back before the auto and small equipment makers made rubber and other parts that ethanol would not harm. They all caught up during the 90's early 20's and ethanol is no longer harmful to modern engines despite what people say about it.
