Yes this is one the motor runs backwards for reverse.I'm betting this is one of those goofy things that runs the engine backwards to get reverse... If it had a transmission with an actual reverse gear, it would be less expensive and more user-friendly going forward to do a Predator swap. You need a Predator engine from Harbor Freight and a CVT (aka torque converter for you old school mini-bikers). Little bit of welding, hook up the throttle, and you've got a 4-stroke engine that idles. No more fussy-fragile 2-stroke shenanigans.
