So can anyone help me ID the tractor first of all? From what I can gather the S/N is DA12381 300508. My second issue is I’ve been trying to research the distributor that came out of the tractor and can’t find anything. The rotor shaft seems to be bent and wondering if anyone can tell me if there’s an electric ignition kit for these tractors? I did one on my front mount 8N but I know even tho it’s similar, it’s also way different to my 8N. If no electric ignition can I buy the upper part of the distributor/shaft so it’s not bent anymore or do I need a whole new distributor? It’s the slot driven not gear driven style, if anyone can point me in the right direction for parts (ideally from Canada but understandable if not) it would be much appreciated. Thanks!

How about posting pictures of the whole tractor and pictures showing both sides of the engine.

Post good clear pictures of the ID Tag that is shown on the side of the distributor, in your picture.

What area do you reside?
I ask, as there are other Canadians on "YT" that may have a spare Distributor?

The Carburetor is a ZENITH MODEL 24T-2
Used extensively on the Ferguson Tractor Model TEA-20
Made in England

The Distributor appears to be a LUCAS Model D3A4
Used extensively on the Ferguson Tractor Model TEA-20
Made in England

Lucas Dist.
Model DEA4
Service # 40132
Used on TEA-20 Engines with Serial #'s up to S8995E

Lucas Dist.
Model DEA4
Service # 40146
Used on TEA-20 Engines with Serial #'s after S8996E

Lucas Dist.
Model DEA4
Service # 40084
Used on TE-20 Engines

The TE-20 Engines had a GEAR drive attached to the Distributor .

You can probably be assured your Distributor did NOT at one time be attached to a Ferguson TEA-20.

TEA-20 Engines had a DRIVE TANG that aligned with the drive Quill of the engine OIL PUMP as per your picture of your Distributor.

"It is possible" your Distributor and Carburetor was on an Engine other than a Ferguson Tractor ???

Here's a note to know.

TEA-20 Ferguson Tractors with the Standard Engine and the Lucas Distributor:
Below info s per timing Distributor.

ENGINE S# SIE to S8995E fitted with Lucas dist. MODEL D3A4 Lucas SERVICE # 40132 has a hole in the flywheel at 10/100/190 and 280 BTDC number 1 cylinder.

ENGINE S# S8996E onwards fitted with Lucas dist. Model D3A4, Lucas service No. 40146 has a hole in the flywheel at TDC #1, as well as90/180/and 270 deg before TDC.

I shall add more information as I check my literature,as I own and operate a Ferguson TEA-20 Tractor that has been on my property since new,as well own three TEA-20 Parts Tractors.

The above Internet has what you maybe looking for?.......Electronic ignition.

I would be asking questions

12 Volt system or 6 volt System ??
Positive Ground/Earth or Negative Ground / Earth ?
A new Coil with specific ohms required with kit?
Are New Silicone ignition leads required with the kit?

I'm NOT connected in any way with the above firm.

The complete dizzy was purchased for my 6 volt pos. gnd. tractor. The points replacement was for a 12 volt neg gnd tractor.. I purchased new matching coils for both. I did not buy silicone leads.
