Where are you located? Maybe this is too far for you ?I have a neighbor that may have the H you are looking for. It has been parked inside his barn for a number of years. Will probably need one rear tire. It has Super H insides.Good sheet metal and not dinged up or wore out.Needs paint. An older gentleman has it & wants to sell it. I have no idea as to what he will want for it.I was thinking of offering $400 ? The old man is kind of proud of it. I was kind of saving it for myself, but I have more than I will even get done as it is.I live about 30 miles NE of Indy, near Anderson.

I have to think if you can't find an H close to Dayton you're not looking too hard or have some pretty tough criteria. Even a $400 one isn't worth shipping from NE.

Lanse, there is a big auction every month in London Ohio. Not to far from you. They sell lots of old H's and about any other you can think of. You could drive one home from there. They will fit on a 6'6" or 6" 10" by 14 or 16 foot trailer than can be pulled with any half ton pick up. Go get you one come spring and drive it home. Buddy of mine drove a 684 IH from London to Lexington, KY in a couple days. Watch your local classified ads, lots of estate and farm sales will come up before long.

Can be pulled by a 1/2 ton pickup? HaHaHaHa. I had to do some phone repairs for a nice fella that owns several funeral homes. At one of his funeral homes parks a cherry H out front under the overhead during the Holidays. It is a sharp H too from his large collection. Well, it was cold when it appeared, and I knew his collection aint from that close, so I asked who rode it all that way. Didn't drive it. Pulled it free wheelin down the road in the wee hours of the morning at about 40 MPH. A N/F H down the road at 40. HaHaHaHa. Well, guess they were headed to the right place anyway if they screwed up and things didn't go as planned. Nice bunch of folks too.

I have hauled C's, H's and M's down the road on a Hahn hi boy dolly many times. Never got to 40 MPH though. Had a 140 years ago with a tow bar mounted on the front of it. Just used a hitch pin to hook to the truck and go.

Ahh George, I'm with you. I forget the older little fella's name, but he's a semi-retired local farmer that does odds and ends around the funeral homes for the owner. He shrunk down like blocking the cold wind and steering when he described it to me. I said he was crazy and chuckled asking why so fast. He said he kept shouting slow it down but they couldn't hear him. They used a tow strap from a frame hitch on a van in the dark wee hours of the morning. The funeral home owner just grinned and shook his head. Has a couple of nice horse drawn hearses uses in parades too. All nice folks. Chuckle.
