I have a 1967 830ck with a 70 loader, I am using the tractor's hydraulic outlets to operate the loader.
Last winter I went to use it to plow the driveway, when I pulled the lever to lift the bucket the engine bogged down for just a moment and the loader would not lift. Yes, there is water in the fluid. After the weather warmed enough for the ice to melt I attempted to use the tractor again and discovered that the loader has no power. it will raise and tilt but has no power. I figured that the pressure relief valve had stuck open. I cleaned & inspected it. I fired the tractor up and got the same result. While operating the valves from the back of the tractor I noticed that when putting a load on the hydraulics the PTO shaft would stop rotating. {I have been unable to adjust it to not spin when not engaged.} The only way I see for this to happen is for the pump drive shaft part number A32436 to be broken. Before diving further into this repair I thought I would seek the advice and wisdom of those who may have experienced this situation and might guide me to a different solution, as changing the pump drive shaft looks to be quite involved. {but not outside of my skill set}.
