Ih 300u identification

Hello everyone! I recently purchased a 300u, or so I believe. All the emblems have been removed but I see the marks left on which say 300 utility, but above the 300 there is another emblem that says 46. Any ideas?

I have a 300U and I don't have the number 46 anywhere on it.

It’s probably just signifying that it’s tractor number 46 like my backhoe has a number 18 signifying it was backhoe 18 that the company owned

Hello Cole.. welcome to YT! Does it look like the model I am posting in this link? IH 300 utility on tractor data If you scroll down near the bottom of that page it shows you where the serial number plate is. Sometimes if the printing is intact you will be able to find out the model for certain. Many times the printing on the SN plates is gone faded, scraped or sand blasted off. The stamped in serial number may be the only legible characters left. There is also a photo tab on that info page with a few more pics.

I thought so at first but theirs a few differences. My tractor has a heavy duty loader with rips on it, the loader does not look like the 33a which tractor data says came on it. But it’s not welded on the loader mounts are a part of the steel frame. Right underneath the seat to the right, there are also these small handles that don’t move but look like they should. I’m stumped

Many manufacturers made loaders to fit these tractors, and there is nothing stopping someone from modifying pretty much any loader to fit.

Forget the loader for the time being. Try to separate the tractor and loader in your mind, and compare that to pictures of an International 300 Utility. Look at the hood, if there is one. Look at the grille. Look at the front end. Look at the configuration of the operator's platform. Fine details are important; don't just assume you're looking at the same tractor because there's a gear shifter sticking up between the driver's legs, for example.

If you can post pictures, post pictures. Take pictures of the WHOLE tractor first. Too many times people take close-ups of nondescript areas of mystery tractors and expect people to be able to identify them from that.
