ih 404

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone could tell me which pto goes into a ih 404. I am looking at buying a nice one only it does not have the pto in it. I am not sure if this is a live pto setup like the 340 or if it is like the 200 and 230"s have. Let me know if anyone has any info. Thanks for your help.

I have a 404 ,Super C and 340. The 404 is not live PTO ,so a 340 PTO will not work. From the outside, the Super C and 404 PTO housings look different.On the Super C the lever is on the right. On the 404,it`s on the left. I can`t tell you if there`s a difference internally, but I`m guessing yes.
