Ih 706 3pt leak

Hi guys I pulled my 706 into the shop just for some winter maintenance and noticed a leak out of the left lift arm below the rear axle housing. And I’m wondering on what are the steps in fixing this, and do I have to pull the whole pto housing and pto off to do it. And were can I find the parts. And how would I slide the arm off the shaft.Below are some not very good pictures on were it’s leaking. Thanks

Is it the fitting that's leaking? Clean it off and then watch to see where it's leaking from.

Hello Young farmer, welcome to YT! While I was looking up the diagrams. IH Power was taking care of the whole deal already.

Wonder.. I suspect your trying to assist the best you can by the photos, I have attempted those types of replies myself. The top picture he posted is looking up from below the tractor. The flat looking part is the bottom of the main rearend case of the tractor that as in most tractors holds hydraulic fluid. As IH power said part 9 (per the diagram in his 1st link) is in the top of the photo. The shiny stuff between the two is the fluid leaking down from a failing oring that seals to shaft 5.

So I figured out it’s leaking around where the lift shaft comes out behind the arm.
That’s not really a lift shaft, just a pivot. The shaft 5 twist torsion shaft 7 when a pull is on the 3 point tug like a moldboard plow. The slight twisting moves arm 2 that moves a valve that controls the 3 point rock shaft cylinder. That control is often referred to as a traction booster or draft control.
Just for future reference, I would not suggest posting on the same issue in two different forums as you have, it often leads to confusion with information in two different locations. No way for you to know being fairly new here but most members that frequent the Farmall & IH forum also read Tractor & Farm Talk. However, there are some brands that this is not true. Some guys just read and post within the brand they are knowledgeable on.
