Install flywheel on 1941 JD A

I have replaced the manual start system with one with electric start. The flywheel has the oil slinger pin in good condition but what is the easiest way to make sure it fits into the slot on the spacer? I have to lift the flywheel by hand.

Just turn the oil slinger so the notch lines up with the pin.
Make sure the flywheel and crank shaft marks are lined
up also

Just how big of a boy are you?? Get help of some kind to mount that, you'll thank me later on. Just compare where the pin sets on the spline to the spline on the crankshaft, aligning timing marks also.

Thanks for the info. Wow! I put this on by myself before but I'm a year older now! Can you tell me if the flywheel should be flush once I've mounted it?

Put on a new cast hub now.. A new slinger SEAL.. Line up pin to notch, and timing marks on flywheel to crankshaft.. Slide on flywheel and set crankshaft endplay.. Finish by torquing two flywheel bolts..
