Has anyone ever bought and had a tractor shipped from Europe. About how much did it cost and how would a guy even go about doing it.

I have been in contact with a man in Sweden who was an immaculate original paint Fordson model N.

Any info would be appreciated, Thank You.

I have not imported a tractor but do import parts for my side buisiness. Be sure any information you get is current, prices quoted from 5 years ago are not going to represent current rates by a long shot.

I worked in Rota Spain often. About 3 yrs ago I was looking at a Land Rover Santana (Spanish Built) 110. At the time it was about $2500 to get it in a container to Baltimore or Norfolk.

With the current influx of 25yr and older foreign market only cars coming into the states it should be very easy to track down a broker. You may need to wait your turn 🤷‍♂️

There are tractor jockeys here in the states that base their entire business on importing used tractors from England and Europe. I don't know how forthcoming they would be with information or assistance, because they might think you're trying to horn in on their business, but they would sure possess the information you seek.

Not a tractor but I avoid shipping anything out of the country! I rarely buy anything from outside of the USA. I find it to be a quite a procedure to say the least! Now I have bought small items from Canada, Europe, and on Ebay some out fits ship from India or China. All went well but they were set up for shipping or export. I would recommend using a broker that knows what he is doing.

About 10 or 11 years ago. I shipped a tractor from Iowa to the Netherlands. At that time it cost $3800.oo might be more or less now.

I have shipped race cars to Australia. We had an export company deliver a steel container. We pushed the car in by hand, no fluids, and tied it down with ratchet straps. I was not involved with the cost so I have no idea of that.
I would check into one of those containers and, or, an export company.

For some time I imported dozers fro overseas, find a good broker or get an import license like I did. Lot of hidden cost after you get the freight cost. The port fees sometimes can get outrageous , I have had them be as much as the cargo fee, they would wash the units all in the name of preventing disease , that was when we were shipping in the open after containers went to use not so bad, but I am betting you will be out 3 grand to get to and out of port.
