JD 2010 power steering problems

My 2010 has been having a problem with the power steering. When you first start it up the steering doesn't want to turn. once you start moving then it works. Anyone had this problem or where is the actual problem and how to fix it?

I suggest to remove the hyd oil screen & clean it with good cleaning chemical. When cleaning is completed stand filter with open end up in a clean container & pour hyd oil into filter & oil should run through screen rather quickly. As Jim says. You have an oil flow problem, nothing wrong with the steering.

I recently bought a CIH 895 with a loader (which I told the seller to keep and he did) that was said to have the same problem: The tractor has to be moving for it to steer. I bought it without the loader and without the loader weight on the front end it steered somewhat normal but in one direction it wouldn't turn all the way.

I jacked up the front end and the first thing I did was to grease the spindles. One side took nearly a tube of grease, the other side half a tube. I started working the steering back and forth adding grease (which it took) as I exercised the steering, still jacked up, from limit to limit. Problem disappeared, steers easily and goes to max turning in both directions when being used. Saved me a lot of time and money chasing a ghost.
