John Deere 6320 need help

Tractor starts ok. Hydraulics ok. Tach does not work. Trans will shift into all ranges but not into gears. 16 speed power shift trans. All three top lights are blinking. Eventually it will get going and stays going until another day or two and does the same thing. Any ideas? I'm think bad relay.

what is your battery voltage?

They are kind notorious for the transmission harness going across the top having tiny wires and just not being very robust. The instructor at the tech school I went to wasn't real impressed with them they would have been switching from 20 to 30 series at that time.
Dads 6230 premium same thing. It had one of the harnesses that goes down the rh side to 2 solenoids underneath not far from the hitch go bad with no visible issue. I think that was related to the PTO but I can't remember exactly it had a transmission code I believe. Check to make sure they are plugged all the way in as well. And that they stay that way.

Might as well start with the easy thing and check what the alternator is getting to the battery.
Checking hydraulic fluid level would also be something easy

Before swapping relays, I’d go through all the electrical connections you can find, checking for clean & tight connections. Start with the often overlooked ground connection at the frame.

Thank you. Crazy tractor started and ran fine this morning. Battery voltage 13v and alternator charging fine. New battery March this year. Hydraulic levels are fine. I'll go through the electrical connectors plus clean the battery terminals when it happens again. I've pulled the relays and cleaned. I haven't checked the codes yet because it is a pain to bring them up but will do next time it goes bonkers on me. Thanks again.

I don't remember on that tractor for sure but I remember on the small frame 7000 series tractors there is a main power supply cable that starts somewhere on the RH side of the engine and goes to the LH rear corner of the cab and supplies all power to the cab. Those cables are known for getting corroded and causing everything to go haywire in the cab. Again I don't remember if the 6000 series tractors had the same set up or not
