Kawasaki update

For those of you that responded to my previous post about the mower not starting. I traced the gas line to make sure I had free flow. I did. I ran a piece of wire through the carburetor jets. Tried to start it, no dice. Put just a dollop of gas in the carburetor and it started first pull. Shut it off, wouldn't start. Noticed a 1/4 inch plastic stem sticking up out of the carburetor with a flat side. I put a pair of pliers on it and gently turned it back and forth a little bit. Started first pull. Anybody know what it is for???. Ellis

Can you post a picture of it?

Located on top of the carb. Sounds like the Pilot Air Screw. If so. It will have a plastic cap that limits adjustment to about 1/2 turn. It doesn't take much of a turn to adjust.
