Kubota BX2200

First off, tried to start it this morning, and the starter stuck. So I pulled the panels off and tapped the starter a little bit. Started after I did that. Then I was mowing the ditch and it shut off and now won’t steer to the left. Steering cylinder is good, just popped out of its brackets.will run, but still no steering. Any leads would be appreciated.

Thank you

I responded to your other post and just saw this

Start with the easiest and least expensive first with the highest probability it’s the problem

Is put in the horn relay in the starter circuit. Wire that tells the starter to engage goes to the horn relay and horn relay tells the starter relay to engage. Sounds redundant but actually works

That’s about as confusing as the path electrons take moving through a wire. More like the horn relay and starter relay are close enough to same to work in place of each other. Swapping the horn relay into the starter relay’s position will tell you the starter relay is bad if it will start that way.

No no no

Their are a number of safety switches that build up just enough corrosion preventing the starter solenoid from fully engaging. The starter circuit appears to work as it should but doesn’t have enough power

So you would need to check/clean/replace every safety switch and connector for it to work properly.

Or just add a horn relay to give the starter solenoid the power it needs to engage fully.

Are you looking to do this for a tractor you own or just trolling. I did this to one of my BX’s 12 years ago and it still works great.

Just trolling, should have looked at the other post.

SOUNDS LIKE YOU NEED A NEW STARTER. The other issue could actually be the steering cylinder. It can leak hyd. oil internally (2 way cyl) and cause it not to want to steer one way.

problem is there is a very high chance that the several hundred starter you just purchased (and can’t return) doesn’t fix the problem. Start with the $10 solution first

had the same steering issue and while you could have an internal leak the pictures in the other post clearly show it’s the bracket bending

The loaders are very tough on tires and the brackets. Simply bending it back gives you some time but problem returns.

Fix is to double up on the brackets. I’m up to around 2200 psi on a bx 22 and issue hasn’t come back - 3 years now. Bending back only gave me a year .

Also rocks can get lodged between the tie tie rods and front axle giving you the same issue. Know because it sometimes happens to me when moving rock piles or just dirt with rocks in it.
