heya sorry this is probably a stupid question but as seen in the photo the valve on my tire is leaking where highlighted, if i force it in a certain way it seems to seal and will stop hissing. what would be the best way to deal about this , do i need to replace the whole thing? can i somehow have it so its always in the position where it seems sealed? thanks for anyhelp and sorry again for the silly question

Very good chance the tube is bad which is common in that area due to the rust cutting the tube. There or boot sort of things made to cover the tube in that area to keep that form happening as easy but either way probably need a new tube

That outermost piece is replaceable, I believe it unscrews where the lower left part of your green highlight line crosses, not at the nut against the rim. Mark.

yep dead right that peice unscrews, however its leaking from the nut against the rim. seems like i will have to replace the inner tube or at least get it out and fix it. thanks

Regardless of where the leak is, the air pushes out around the valve stem because that is where the hole is.

If not loaded tire the job is not that bad to do yourself. I do all mine on tractors and trucks or cars. With an old tire machine they are not to bad to break down the prying off can be more work than the bead breaking at times. Bigger tires are usually easier than small er ones since you have more room to work with . If you do the work your self do it on the tractor it is easier since thew rim will hold still for you to pry on.
