Loading Ford 4000

I inherited my grandpa's 1975 Ford 4000 seven years ago.
This past fall the motor seized. My father in law and I are going to rebuild it.
We are going to do it over at his place so I am going to need to trailer it.
The tractor has a loader and I need to get it raised some to get it on the trailer.
Any suggestions on doing this with a non running tractor? I do not have another tractor to lift the bucket. I know I can block the loader up after I get it lifted.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you

I’ll share what I remember when I asked the same question for the same tractor. Assuming you have a winch on the trailer, run the line under the bucket and pull the tractor onto the trailer. The winch line will raise the bucket enough to load the tractor. I’m sure there will be other suggestions.

How high do you need to lift it? Got a floor jack, or an engine hoist? Might want to think about taking the loader off so you can have better access to the engine
I think that's a good idea to get the loader off, I took the loader off our JD 4600 just to check the valve clearance. On most loaders you could jack them up with a high-lift jack and block the cylinders.

Thank you for the suggestions. We may just take it off. I agree it will be easier to work on it if it is off. Granted it has never been taken off, so that in itself may be a challenge.

If it is older type loader (not quick attach) get it under a large tree or something you can hang a couple of come a longs from. I think you will really want the loader off. Even if it is not fun getting it off.

Knock the two lower pins out of the cylinders and the two pins out of the lift arms, disconnect the hoses and pull the tractor out.

We got it loaded and hauled over this evening. Did the wench cable ran under the bucket trick. Worked alright loading, but drugged when we unloaded. No big deal there.
We are going to take off the loader when we do the motor. We wanted to take it off at the shop where we have the chain hoist.
Thanks again for the suggestions.

Inspect/repair/replace center axle bushing/pin while you're in there. Also loader pump shaft if driven off front of engine.
