I picked up this book used, and wondered if you know the Author? The content is interesting and pretty inclusive for JD. Jim

Don was one of the first to bring John Deere into England and was green through and through with a little splash of yellow. What he did not know about those tractors could be written on a pin head. He was the first person to call if there was a problem and he did a lot of commentary work at shows and gatherings. He has written many books on the history of John Deere and the companies they took over like Lanz and Chamberlain.

A very well liked man in the tractor preservation movement and a real gentleman.

Thanks. I had a feeling you would have knowledge of him. His commentary and connections across the JD and acquisitions seems powerful. Interesting reading. Jim
