Majorman question

Heard about them and read about them but never seen one in the flesh. There were quite a few "Special" tractor built by company's and farmers in Australia.
Thanks Majorman.
For JD, Upton are/ were Australian built from left over components, namely tanks. There probably wasn’t Two of them identical. The main production run was in the 70s when they reached 350hp and still hold the record for 2 wheel drive Hp.

I will have a word with my friend Wayne who is in South Australia and see if he knows anything more about them. I have posted pictures of the Waltana tractors, in the past, and the one made by two brothers in North Victoria that was made out of two Sherman tank transmissions.

.Big Bud, originally in Havre Montana, started for similar reasons. Land in MT is looked at in one mile X one mile sections and Farms are often 20,000 acres. The existing tractors were just not doing it. The Big Bud 747 was the big horse, but many in the 450 HP range were produced. I have had the privilege of teaching with and working around the Big Bud personnel, and being around them on the ground. Jim
