Massey Ferguson

I just inherited a massey ferguson with loader. Can someone help identify year and model. Having a hard time finding serial number

If it is a five speed its probably a Massey Harris 44 Special. If
it is a five with a hi/lo shift lever it looks like a 444 model.
Either tractor will have numbers stamped along the
transmission edge just back of the clutch pedal.

Hello Kieffer3 welcome to YT! Ya, someone got some
decals and pasted Massey Ferguson on it. They also painted the engine, chassis and wheels silver which is the paint scheme of a Massey Ferguson. But it is a
Massey Harris. In the link is a MH 444 the other poster
suggested as a model number. If you click the Massey
Harris to the right of ..Tractors.. you can see other MH
models.

SN plate was originally on left side of frame under the
battery. The model and serial are also stamped in the top
of the transmission housing by the clutch pedal.

Hood and battery box indicate a Massey Harris 44 Special... 1954 to 1957
