i have a mf 135 that the position control on the lift wont stay in position. when the position control lever is pulled up slightly the lift will go all the way up,and will do the same going down. it will not stay in position the way it supposed to do. i am sure it is out of adjustment somehow. i am not sure how to adjust this. if anybody can help it would be appreciated.

Mine does that when the draft control response lever (down by your right foot) gets bumped all the way to "slow" and I have nothing attached.

Check out the MF forum for some help on this one. I recommend buying a service manual as well as the CD that Big Dean has for sale. If you do a search on the MF forum you'll find the information for Big Dean. There are plenty of adjustments on those controls.

the outer Draft control lever must be kept fully raised up for the inner Position Control lever to work properly and keep 3-pt steady. Only use the Position Control for normal implement use and keep Draft lever at full up. The Draft control lever is only to be used for soil engaging equipment (e.g., plows). Lots of people new to these tractors have similar problems of implements (e.g., mowers) floating up and down because they're trying to use the Draft control lever instead of the Position Control. You can research on the MF/MH forum in this YTMAG site, and if you have a more serious mechanical problems folks like Big Dean, DavidP S Wales and others that show-up on the MF/MH forum maybe can help further.
