MF 236 Loader Questions

Looking for a loader tractor to lift 2,000 lb fertilizer bags. I see a goodly number of MF tractors for sale with the 236 loader. From what I can gather, the 236 can lift 2,500 lbs.

Question is - is that extra 500 lbs enough margin/safety factor when lifting 2,000 bags?

What MF tractors have enough front end to hold such a load without breaking? Would a MF 275 with 236 loader suffice?

What other 100 and 200 series tractors would handle the above?

Any sage info is appreciated!

I'm interested in hearing about this as well. I have a MF 275 with a Dunham Lehr (became Farmhand) 22 loader, rated at 2800 capacity and something over 4000 breakaway. But I wonder what impact occasional, not frequent, 2K+ loads will have on the front axles, spindles, bearings, and such. I try not to lift much weight at a time with that loader, but sometimes I get ahold of a long oak log that's pretty heavy. I know the power steering on the 275 sure doesn't like a heavily loaded front end!

Just on the off chance you run across one of these loaders as you work on your solution, be aware that they came with two cylinder sizes - 2" and 2-1/2" if I remember correctly. The 2" cylinders are only rated for 1800 lbs. lift.

Good luck!
