I got the front nose cone and grille off the 80 with some help from a couple of friends. Several dents in the lower section and on the upper section. The screen was punched in some as well. Took it all apart and proceeded to try and fix some of the dents. Keep in mind I’m not a body man by any stretch of the imagination but did manage to get the parts looking better than when they came off. This tractor is not getting painted by the way. That’s it for now.

I have better luck pressing dents out than hammering them. I use my arbor press when I can and also have made curved wood blocks to match contours.

I don’t have an arbor press red Tom but that would be good for some dents. Pretty hard to get in to some of these dents especially with only two hands. I made a couple curved wood tools to use. They worked pretty good. Thanks and stay safe.

Looks pretty darn good for "not being a bodyman". I'll send you a couple of side curtains, if you don't mind working for free.:devilish: I want to know how someone put that big round dent in the corner of that panel? steve

I do a lot of work for free now so we may have to negotiate on those side curtains. 😃😃I wondered about that big round dent as well. Odd place and shape for running into something by accident. Someone had been trying to fix a couple other spots years ago by the look of the tin inside. Stay safe.

If you ever get to the point of shrinking high spots, let me know. I did a whole bunch of that on my hotrod. Staying safe, and warm. Had nasty black ice here this morning. Misty rain on really cold pavement. steve
