Cub Cadet 2135HDS:
1. When I turn on the PTO (mower deck) the 15A fuse under the console burns up. Last summer this happened occasionally under heavy load, now this happens all the time: high/low throttle, hot/cold engine, heavy/light load, etc. Mower might turn on for 5 seconds before fuse burns up.
2. I replaced the PTO clutch on the front of the engine today. Voltage at the clutch electrical switch line (engine on, clutch unplugged) is 0V when PTO is off, 14v when the PTO is on. As soon as the electrical line is connected to the clutch (ie, normal wiring), the fuse burns up in the PTO on state.
3. Typical answer with these symptoms seems to be that there's an electrical short. I don't see anything obvious though, and it also seems weird that there'd be an electrical fault when I have the appropriate 0v,14v voltages when the clutch is unplugged.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Pointers to the wiring diagram for the 2135 would also be great!
