New Holland 320 baler

Have a well used NH 320 baler that randomly makes long bales. Is there an easy fix? Should I replace the trip arm and or the disk?

May not be anything wrong with the baler but more likely to be thin windrows

(quoted from post at 14:35:16 06/08/21) Take a file to the trip arm.

Yup, a threading file if you can find one. And make sure the wheel is clean. Those little teeth get full of dirt over the years.

I had a NH 273 baler that made irregular bales so I clamped a vice grip on the trip arm to make it heavier so it would drop down, fixed my problem.

Put a new serrated wheel on the arm, that holds the arm position. I had one that didn't have any serrations left. More strokes will also make a difference in the trip timing.
