Oliver 1800A

Well it's been awhile since I posted so I figured I'd share some pictures of a partial restoration we did on an oliver 1800a.
We bought it a couple years ago and we believe it may be the original tractor that was purchased by our family in 1961 at Paul W Histand's dealership in Doylestown PA

I'll add the reasons we think this is our original tractor, it was purchased new by my great grandfather in 1961 at Paul w Histand's dealership in Doylestown PA, when my great grandparents moved from bucks county Pa in roughly 1972 they sold a lot of their farm equipment, and the oliver 1800 was among the equipment sold, they were told by the man who purchased it that it was going to Vineland New Jersey to be used on his pickle farm, after they sold it that was the last anyone knew of it.

Then a couple of years ago I was scrolling through Facebook marketplace and I came across this tractor, so we went and bought it and he told us what he knew about it and he said it was purchased in the 70s by a pickle farmer who brought it back to Vineland New Jersey and he liked the tractor but it was geared too high for his needs because it didn't have hydra power, so he sold it to another local pickle farmer who added a hydra power unit with the help of his uncle who is still alive so we're trying to get contact with him.

We converted the tractor back to straight shaft after we bought it.
there's currently no way to 100% confirm it's the original, but I think there's a fairly good chance

The two accounts of its history sound like a pretty good fit to me.

I haven’t seen one, but I thought I’ve read that if you had a build card, it shows the name of the dealer that it was shipped to from the factory. That would add another supporting piece of information. If the serial number tag is still on it, you could order the build card.
