Has anyone put a 12 volt alternator on a Oliver 60 without cutting a hole in the side panel

It can be done. I have an 77 with an alternator and full sheet metal on it and it is an Delco 10SI

Is that a single wire one

I like the mini Denso alternators, they are easy to mount and they will fit under the side shields.

No it is a 3 wire. A 1 wire is an alternator that has been modified from the 3 wire so the same size

Could you post some pictures of how you have your Alternator
hooked up to the brackets

I use the Delco CS130 alternators. The picture is at a angle.

Thank you one more question did you use the stock pulley or
did you use a longer belt

I think i used a new belt, pretty sure. I did use a V pulley as the original one on the alternator was a serpentine belt.

Also, If I didn't already have these CS alternators, I would buy one of those small ones that the hot rod guys get from Summit Racing. They also have the pulleys for them.
