I'm working on a super 88, it has been converted to 12v. yrs. ago, not by me, owner had it tuned a few yrs. back and didn't run it much since, called me and said it won;t start, so I went to check it out, it starts to spark at plugs but stops, I'm thinking coil or condenser, now the coil looks original which would be 6v. I want to replace it, but should I use a internal resistor type or external type (and add the resistor) cause I don't see one now. the engine has other problems, getting anti-freeze in oil plus some other problems, I know he's looking at a full blown overhaul, but at least want's to get it running before pulling it down.
