OT: finally sold some corn

Stopped after work and signed contract, sold 2000 bu corn for river open for $4.31/ bu. Now if it just keeps going up so I can sell some more. Chris

It's a crap shoot however you look at it. One summer when I was raising wheat, the market was so unstable I sold every load when I hit the elevator with it.

I did the same last week for $4.22.

If the demand for grain holds, going to need more acres than we have to keep exoprting what we are exporting. Prices really should go up around planting time?

But, if something in the world goes to heck, things will drop back on that.

A real crap shoot, more volitile than normal. Price of fert & fuel & taxes or rent makes one figure the price has to stay up, or we'll lose money.
