PHOTO - herring bone wall

Hi Gang;
A while ago I posted a picture showing the use of rocks taken from the fields to line the outer faces of earth embankments to make field boundaries.
The farm in this area is on slate, so they used flat small slate "tiles" in a herring bone style to face their walls.

Now Vito, I'm sure you don't really mean that...........I'm in CT on the R.I. border and think they're all pretty. I put a lot of work in these over the last few years. 12 pairs of gloves and 3 pairs of boots to be exact.

David's are just older, probably by 300 years or so.

You must think they're pretty....

Around here, those fences would be on the limits of the road. If public works took the notion, they could remove them... and probably bill you for it if they were being ...difficult.

They do look nice though. I just prefer it when the old people did the work.

Hi Buddy;
You are an artist - thats a beautifully constructed wall.
The other side of the road with the older wall and the trees looks like areas of mid and north Wales.
Cheers David
