Power steering lines

The hoses on the power steering lines on my Oliver 1550 were leaking, I had replaced 1 line last summer and since I was working on it and the gas tank was off I decided it was a good time to get them fixed. Took the 3 lines off and went to Brozene Hydraulics in Burlington Iowa and they cut the hoses off and put new hoses on. I got them back on, what a pain,worse than taking them off! I set the gas tank on and started it, no leaks and the steering works like it should. Thought I had the lines hooked up right but you can’t be sure until you run it. Just have to put everything back on and it’s done for the winter.

Am I seeing that correctly, it looks like the chain coupler failed and a portion of it was hitting the hydraulic lines damaging them? The hoses look like they were a good option for this fix.

Yes, it was like that when I got it. The 3 hoses replaced was cheaper than 1 new line from Agco.

Replaced the lines on a 1650 once, not a job I liked, but at least I was in my own shop and not in the field or somebody else's shop.
