Power steering vent leak.

Good day all. I have a 1977 Ford 2000 series diesel tractor that has a leak in what appears to be a vent off the front of the steering column just above the gear box. I can’t find this part. I thought of just putting in a bolt for now so I can use the thing. Does anyone know where I can find one?

Welcome to YT forums and PartsASAP
Putting a plug in it can cause consequences! The leak is internal. A repair needs to direct the leak back to the reservoir. (fitting and hoses). Jim
Thank you. Good idea. I changed out all of the seals on the valve body and no leaks from there so it must be worn out internally.

The seal below the hydraulic block in the column is leaking - #24. If you plug that breather it will start squirting oil out the sides by the sector shafts.
Could you have installed that lower seal upside down?
For other questions about that great little tractor I suggest you go to the Ford Forum.
