i remember when gramma used to paint boiled eggs for easter, and make all the paska and bobka easter bread. happy easter.

The wife used to go to Greek Town in Detroit and get Greek Easter bread. That was some great stuff. Braunschweiger on the leftover bread along with olives was eating high on the hog.

Growing up on a poultry farm, and selling domw eggs at the house easter was always unusual. Dad always kept a few dozen eggs aback for customers that painted them for their kids because they peeled easier.

Our small town had quite a Ukrainian heritage, along with Swedish, Norwegian and some German when I was a young'un. There were some very talented Ukranian egg painters back then. Very elaborate and precise work.
