Replacement funnel strainers

Does anyone know it or where any fueling funnel strainres can be purchased. I have funnels that lock into tractor fuel tanks but cannot find any replacement items to repair them. Thanks.

Parts, no doubt, are for specific mystery funnels. Could use a paper paint strainer or Dollar Tree's $1.25 11.5" spatter screen to strain the fuel.

I have a lock in funnel as well. When my screen filter disappeared had to cut out a replacement and shape to fit the funnel. You're looking for 100 - 200 gauge mesh (US measurement) which is adequate for initial particulate filtering that may have found it's way into a fuel can. Or you could sacrifice an inexpensive cooking filter as circus suggested.

I have two of those for the 8Ns. Dad bought the first one from NAPA in the 60s. I saw the screens and clip for sale not too many years ago, may have been TSC or Agri Supply. The only other option if you have the clip is to try to cut one out of window screen.

I have done the same thing in the past.
My clips were not as good as the original ones, and window screen was not as good of a filter to me. Years ago I remember plastic drop-in funnel- shaped replacements.

I buy the brass filter cloth from McMaster Carr and cut the filter out to suit the funnel . Made the filter for Farmall C touch control . I don’t think I have any more left over .
Too, seems to me that the Farm,Farmily and Home has a blank sheet 4 x4 inches you can buy and cut it out from that . Check tractor supply

This reminded me of the funnel that we used in the sixties for gassing up the tractors. I searched and it appears that TSC still carries an equivalent. It is listed as a 12 qt. galvanized filter

There are mesh to micron conversion charts on google. Just don't get it too fine or you'll be waiting for the fuel to flow the thru funnel. Copper or brass sounds like a good idea too - easier to shape than SS

Recall when I redid mine used aluminum foil and socket to make a template and get piece of screen correctly sized.
