Rosa Master injection pump

Don't know if it is truth or fable, but I have heard of guys pulling the tractor to attempt to start it. Thought being that the much higher cranking rpm would make more transfer pump pressure, hence possibly freeing the plungers.

Long shot, like from LA to New York.
I assume you have fuel at the input line to the pump after the filters.
Send a Direct Message to DieselTech and see if he’ll give you a rough idea of the price to go through it. If you want to get the tractor going this is what needs done. Or if you want to attempt it yourself, in my opinion this is not a good decision on a tractor that is not running. To me a do it yourself job is only feasible if the tractor is running good and the pump is leaking or the governor flex ring needs replaced. Even then without test equipment there is no guarantee it will be close to right when done. Not a job for the “faint at heart” a little bit of rag lint can be the difference between it working correctly or not.

I don’t have fuel going to the injectors. I tried either and it won’t keep running. Without taking the pump completely apart, is there anything I can clean out to get the fuel to flow through the pump?

Ilive in Calif and most of our diesel has that bio crap in it. That’s why I had to remove the fuel tank in order to clean that sticky, gooey reddish brown crap out of it. Then I flushed all the lines out and ran a speedometer cable through them to clean them. And replaced the filters also. Plus I cleaned the intake fuel screen on the pump. I’m at wits end.
Just curious, how hard is it to clean that pump and rebuild it or pay someone to do that?
Pull starting can SOMETIMES work IF the plungers are not stuck badly, but most are. If the 806 has the TA option pull start won't work anyway.
Yes, I have the TA on my tractor and pull starting is not an option. Next question, about this tractor. Will a Rosa Master pump off a Int 706 interchange with my 806? I have a new pump I picked up at an estate sale

Send your pump to Dieseltach, he did a pump for me and his rates are reasonable.

The way you started out in this thread talking about the Ford pump made me think you were experienced in tinkering with these pumps but it sounds like you’re not. If you want a for sure positive ending have someone do it for you. Do you know how to send a Direct Message here?
