school me round bale storage

This year you could not leave bales of any kind outside for a few days. It rains like a tropical rain forest this year. I am finally down to about 5 acres of 1st cutting to do and it rained hard like a cow on a flat rock rain hard. Will look at the gauge when it gets light out. Got rained out of the hay field last night about 6PM and rained till dark. Those bales Will be left outside for the year and sold then. IF I have somebody that wants hay they will feed right away I'll see about getting them gone that way. Most times we get about a week of good hay weather at a time so no leaving them out to do any cycles. I have left them to go till we had the field done then hauled so maybe a day or 2 then hauled in. I got about 30 setting out now all wet. The rest got in before the rain. We stack them on end 3-4 high when we put them in. I have had some get wet lightly and left them unstacked and would move them outside for the day and then put back inside for the night and dried them out ok.
