Seed sensor wire colors on 800- 900 IH planters

Anyone have info on the seed flow wire colors? They are green, black, & red.
I'm assuming 2 wires power the infrared light that the seeds interrupt to send
a signal back to thje monitor. Any help is appreciated.

It's been over 25 years since I've played with those, IIRC, Red is "power", Black is "ground" and Green is the signal wire that carries the seed drop signal to the monitor.

Check the voltage between the red and black wires, I don't remember for sure if that will be 12 Volts or regulated 5 Volts.

Thanks for the info, Wore. Should be 5 Volts to the infrared LED.
