Sherman Transmission for a Farmall M

Got another question for you guys, has anyone had experience or used a Sherman Transmission in a Farmall tractor? Was talking to a guy with a late production year 1947 M with a Sherman in it. He just mentioned it works great, but I have never heard of one. Doing some research shows them in Fords and some others. Any thoughts on this?

never heard of one in an M and he hasnt either He has a M&W or a HEISLER never seen a Sherman

Heard of a Sherman transmission in Ford N tractors but not Farmalls.

First picture is of an aftermarket two-way hydraulic conversion. Don't see anything out of the ordinary in the other two aside from the wide seat.

Slim chance, but was something attached to the PTO shaft? May be a HydraCreeper unit, but Ive never seen one on a M before.

The wide seat is pretty close to the tires without fenders. Looks like a potential hazard.

Lol.that wide seat will be removed and replaced by the original seat.
