Thanks for taking these photographs and posting. You are documenting a way of life- agricultural history- that is now gone or nearly so. Your county historical society might (should) be interested in these photos.

Yup that way of life has changed and gone much like the reference to life after the Civil War it is gone with the wind. As the statement at the beginning of the movie Gone With The Wind. Sure was an operation for it's day though with all those buildings for housing cattle and machinery.

My county’s historical society got in line to take the plow and horse off the state flag so to not “offend” anybody. They tore down a good log claim shack on their campus and threw it in the dumpster.

Quite an operation, lot of corn to fill those silos. I'm thinking it is a dairy farm.

The farm has been in that family as long as I recall. If you notice the old mono pitch barn roof it’s an indication of age. I believe they are still milking cows there where this generation is in mid 50s.

As a former dairy farmer I look forward to seeing your pictures each week.It is sad to see all the farms around me and mine included not having dairy cattle anymore.
