Peppers: California Bell
Tomatoes: best Boy, Super Steak, Early Treat
Black Beauty Eggplant
Sweet Basil

Tomatoes have second leaves two inches tall, Juliet, Big Beef, Delicious, Big Boy, and Big Beef Plus. Peppers have single leaves one inch tall, King Arthur, Encore, Allance, Cubanelle, Anaheim, Garden Salsa, Mucho Nacho, and Big Jim.

Suppose to rain today so I put corn in ground yesterday.
Waiting on the moon (this coming weekend) to put tomatoes in the ground.

The county next to me is in a blizzard warning tonight. We are only in a strong winter storm warning…..

Easy to have freezing temps until mid May here - the ides of May. I have even seen snow flurries the first week of June, but they didn’t amount to anything at all.

We have had a very uneven winter here, almost no snow and periods of warm temps with periods of very cold temps, with lots of wind pushing the temps back and forth.

The idea of planting a garden in March is just amusing to a fella who has lived ‘here’ all my life.

I have planted oats the last day of March twice in my life.

I enjoy the thread.

What is your last frost date? It's April 14th here.

Moon favorable is April 27th. (For Tomatoes)

It was warm today, 58. Weatherman is calling for an inch tomorrow. I won't have cucumbers and Brussels in until next month.

Brrrrr! The winter here was cold. A lot of days below 20. Rather unreasonable. I like the change in seasons. The better half is planning a retirement in fair weather. We'll see what happens in 15 years...

We got upgraded to a blizzard warning this afternoon. Most of the roads are closed south and west of me.

We have had lots and lots of wind this winter. Fortunately this is the first time snow accompanied all the wind.

And fortunately spring isn’t too far away, so the snow won’t last too many weeks.

It’s nice having seasons here. Often feels hot humid summer and snowy bitter cold winter get more than their fair share of the year!

No, we're at least a month and a half from that, around June 8th here before last frost worries. Not much point in planting anything here before middle of may at the earliest, the ground just isn't warm enough before then.
