One of my daughters asked me to build her a trailer for usebaround the yard and for the occasional trip to town for supplies. I decided on a 4x8' with a dump. This is what's done so far.

I didn't turn out the way I hoped, more like how I expected, so I'm contemplating some changes. The problem is the lift as designed won't lift enough. I have a coupke ideas I'm considering. If you want to see the whole build it's on tool talk with explainations of how and why I did things and what I think my options are to fix the problem.

Putting the winch on top of the tongue on a platform about one foot high, then putting a pulley on the front center of the pantograph link. This will allow the winch to pull up directly on the pulley. supplementing the action of the scissors. Currently the angle of pull, and the radical mechanical disadvantage of the pantograph. Jim
