I have a super A that has what I think is a sleeve over the pto to make it larger than factory.Reason being, my bushhogg yolk is to small to fit the pto.It has a greese fitting on it and a screw which I took both off.I cannot figure out how it comes off and If it realy does.I have sprayed, tapped, jerked, looked for some type of key or pin, nothing. Is 40 years of weather keeping it on or is there a combination.Could someone please help.many thanks

Gerald,
With both the grease fitting and the plug on the opposite side out, you need to take a straight punch and drive out the roll pin which holds the overrun clutch/adapter onto your PTO shaft. Be advised that you may need to get another overrun adapter of the correct size, so that that mower won"t drive you ahead when you step in on the clutch. Hope this helps. Good Luck and God Bless.

I think the bushhog will be too much for your A.Better wait for replies from A owners who have used one on the tractors.

I hope not.The man I horse traded with said it was made for a 140.42in.cut has 3 pullys and a belt all on the outside center. Not in the best of health so I haven't had a chance to try removing the pin from the pto yet but I'm hoping my back will give me a break today at some point so I can get outside.

I placed a picture of my 140-A in the Tractor Photos w/the bushhogg. I guess I put it in the right catagory,I'm sure It's older than 1976 and It's all there including the mail box lettering that the old man put on it which I don't have the heart to remove for the sake of remembering the Dec.day we all went deer hunting and used the tractor to get a deer out of the woods and when I went to take a picture I was instructed to wait,,,while these mail box letters were applied.

Seems to be a slight problem with my picture and the wording.Must be a mixup somewhere.Thats my tractor with the bushhogg but someone elses wording got put in place of mine.My apologizes to the other for the mix up.Maybe the "Tractor Gods" needed a good laugh this Sun.morning.
