I've got two hand tools. One is is a pointy type of sledge hammer 6 Lbs. with chipped head. The other is a Grub hoe with an Adze style tapered handle.
What interests me is two unrelated tools with the same makers mark that I haven't a clue what it is.
All I can make out is a Diamond, an "M" and a "Y".

I serarched Web images but no joy. Any ideas out there ?

Thank you very very much responders.
That is fantastic to know. By the way, I mistakenly just thought it looked like a roof over a house so looked at that way. And in seven plus decades had not heard of Woodings Verona Tool Works. Now I'm off to learn more about who they were. I love history.

I'll also say how exciting it is to have a tool or tractor question and ask it here and get responses.

It looks Chinese. But all Chinese writing looks like some
sort of a tractor shed to me. Chow. Bill

While I know it would have no place on a tool,my first thought was it looks like some sort of Masonic symbol.
