130 hp was big here back in the late 1960's and early 1970's. I used to look after one of only two Select-O-Speed tractors they built. It was a very impressive machine!!!! The owner worked it hard and in 1970 I was given the job of preparing an estimate for a complete overhaul, suffice to say, I had it stripped down, on trays, in the workshop, the largest piece left complete was the turntable. Every part needed replacement in the engine transmissions and hydraulics as they had done so much work. It was left on trays for around three months whilst the owner considered the estimate, then, one Tuesday, the manager told me to rebuild it and get it running, as the tractor had been sold for export to Africa and it had to be on the boat by Friday! We got a lot of overtime in but met the deadline.
