I did know KMart made wrenches.

They didn’t, they contracted a company to make them and stamp their name in them. In fact Walmart, Sam’s Club, Target, Costco or Dollar Tree or Dollar General, any retailer for that matter really manufacture nothing, they only contract companies to manufacture and label items under their brand names for them to distribute/sell.

Years ago(50?) a factory town in China was named USA, without the periods after each letter. This prevented the U.S.A. from protesting to the China government. So things made there were made in the USA.
