I was looking up about my 1952 Fergie (T20). I thought it was a Tea 20,,but it says that the 20,s did not have an outside oil filter canister,,mine does. It says the 30,s had them. Meaning, that i have a T30 engine in a T 20 body? I understand that the person i bought it from had tons of Ferguson parts, and tractors, could these be a made up tractor? Im confused. I see it has a cover ,on the oil pan ,to remove a filter or something.

My 1952 TEA 20 has the oil filter cannister on the left side of the Standard engine same as yours. It also has the cover/plate on the right side of the engine same as yours.

That cover/plate has an oval screen attached in which the oil pump pickup tube resides. Take it out and clean it.

I know that it is original because my Grandfather bought it new.

This is what mine looked like when it went into the shop last fall, pictures coming soon showing how it looks now.

Your photograph of the filter screen and sump is of a 1956/7 Grey and Gold FE35.
