What is it Tractor

[john in la]

Anyone know what tractor this is ?????

With the diamond shape logo on the radiator I'm wondering if it might be Allis-Chalmers.

Caption for this tractor found at: TRACTOR

"Cane field tractor developed and patented by Mr. Arsenaud of Laurel Valley Plantation; Claiborne Toups, overseer, is standing on the left. 1906"

Probably started out as an old truck, Perhaps WWI surplus?

Thanks
I found the picture on the net and knew the picture was from Laurel Valley Plantation but there was
no caption I could find to tell what the tractor was.

Looks pretty advanced for 1906.

The Library of Congress has a lot of ag photos made way back in the twenties and thirties. We have looked at some with some our ancestors threshing oats and plowing with their new John Deere A tractor. This photo looks like it might be from the LoC website?

Or maybe a surplus 1/4 ton Jeep.

(quoted from post at 09:10:48 07/01/23) Or maybe a surplus 1/4 ton Jeep.

Uhhhh.....

No Jeeps in 1906

Well figuratively speaking as I did see a few WW II surplus pulling implements.
