Leroy, first off, welcome to YT. Secondly, to clarify your question, are you talking about removing the locks and loosening the sliders on the rails? Also, you might want to post the question to the forum for Allis Chalmers, further down the list. Someone there will know the sizes off the top of their head. I have a set on my Massey Harris that I modified to fit, so I could check for you. But I don't know what model Allis they came off of. steve

These eccentric rail tighteners and the bolt through-locks are 3/4" on mine. Use copious amounts of penetrating oil, over a few days before you try stripping the heads off these. steve

A 3/4", six point socket should fit. The eccentric heads are often tapered a bit. some guys file them just a bit if the socket doesn't go on good, they often have to be tapped on.

If they have not been turned for years you may not be able to turn them. If is not uncommon to have to remove the tire and center from the tractor, then remove the bolts that hold the eccentrics to the centers to allow dropping the center out. the eccentrics can then be removed, freed up, torn apart, cleaned and lubed. the center is put back on the tractor then the tire mounted with the eccentrics.

Here is a video that might help you.

Thank you all for the good info. I've done it before on a WD, but I wasn't sure the bolts would be the same size on a D15. This tractor is about 200 miles away and I know it wouldn't fit on my trailer as is. I may stop by there with the car before I bring my trailer up there.
