Wire type for outbuilding

I buried approximately 80 feet of aluminum 2-2-4 from the pole to the shed. That was about 23 years ago. 100 amp service. Never had a problem. Did the same a few years later to upgrade the service to the house. 80 feet of 2-2-4 aluminum, only this time I upgraded to 200 amp service. Buried approximately 14 inches deep.

DaveG9N - thank you so much for posting the link regarding service entrance wire! Cleared up many questions I had and makes it apparent that the topic is not simple nor trivial.

(quoted from post at 22:50:03 07/17/23) Insurance companies frown on aluminum wire.

Just sayin'.

Interior wiring maybe......entrance cable and wire to outbuildings are almost always aluminum nowadays.
